KADALIVANAM YATRA

The    piligrimage    trip    to    ‘Kadalivanam’    was    arranged    by    “Sri
Sripadavallabha Sri Guru Sangamam SevAa Trust.”, Hyderabad.

It  is  a  memorable  experience  to  say    about  my  holy  trip  to  Sacred place of Kadalivanam, . Kadalivanam Yatra commenced on 14.03.2014 by    12.30    a.m.       from       one    of    the    devotees    residence       at Ramakrishnapuram, Hyderabad   by a 27 seater A.C. Bus arranged by the organizers   “Sri Sripadavallabha Sri Guru Sangamam Seva Trust”. It’s  a  very  well  planned  and  best  organized    tour      by  the    stanch devotees of Sri Guru Datta.

                                                     
Participants  were  assembled  at  the  prescribed  point  as  per the    schedule    given    by    the    organizers    by    12.30       a.m.
Participants  were  well  received  and  given  all  instructions  with what   to   do     and   what   not   to   do   during   the   whole   trip. Participants  were presented Datta vastram as group identity of Sri  Sripadavallabha  Sri  Guru  Sangamam  Seva  Trust”.   

 The  yatra commenced at 12.40 a.m. with chanting of        "DIGAMBARA   DIGAMBARA SRIPADAVALLABHA DIGAMBARA."


15.03.2014          : Reached Sri Swamy Purnanda Ashramam at Srisailam project area (Sunni penta) at 8.00 a.m. Had bath and break fast at Ashram.

Visited Sakshi Ganapathi Temple from 9.30 to 10.00 a.m. Proceeded to boat  at Niliganga revu  on Krishna river to reach Kadalivanam on the other side of Krishna river

Reached by 12.30 p.m. to "Sri Datta Ashram Food Donation Service Kutir"  running by Sri Datta Baba Venkatesh Kinara at Kadalivanam ghat.

                   


                                                                                           DATTA ASHRAMAM

After finishing  lunch at Datta Ashram  started Trekking
at 1.00 p.m. to Kadalivanam   Caves     carrying     sponge   sheets   and   walking   sticks supplied  by  Dutta  ashram  manager.  Reached   Kadalivanam  caves covering the distance of 9 km.(parikram of 6 hills) hilly area without any proper route through forests (water to be carried for drinking) by 5.00 p.m.

This cave is said to be 900 hundred years  old.  It is a great and thrilling  experience to see and live in such an ancient and historical cave.

 Datta Homam was performed by  Tangirala Srinivas and Smt. Jaya and Sri Raghuram. All the devotees participated in Homam by chanting mantras spelled out by  Srinivas and Raghuram. At the end of Homam POORNAHUTI was given to agni (fire) to get  the blessings of Lord Dattatreya.

After finishing the homam Sri Datta Srinivas garu addressed the devotees and explained about the history of the caves and its sanctity. He asked the devotees to tell their experiences. Devotees narrated their experiences and said how they came into contact with Datta devotees and started praying Lord Dattatreya. Girls sang devotional songs.

 Dinner was provided by cave Sadhus and prepared by “Chenchu women and men.” After dinner devotees Slept over night in the cave. 

 Woke up at 4.00 a.m. on 16.03.2014 finished natural calls and proceeded to Paduka darshan 5 km away from caves.

Reached” Paduka caves” at 8.00 a.m. covering the distance of 5 k.m. hilly area. Had bath at water falls coming from cave roofs.

              


Participants individually performed Abhishekam to Lord Dattatrey, Shiva, Parvathy, Saibaba sited inside small  cave. Performed samuhika Abishekam to Padukalu cited in big tree hole and Chanted Sampurna Sripada Sri Vallabha Charitamrutam to have blessings of Lord Dattatreya.

Had break fast supplied by one of the devotees at Paduka caves. At 10.00 a.m. started climbing down covering the distance of 14 k.m. and reached Datta ashram by 2.00 p.m. Had lunch at Datta ashram. Left by boat to Srisailam and reached at 5.00 p.m. 

Return journey started at 5.30 p.m. from Srisailam and reached Hyderabad at 11.00 p.m. completing the Kadalivanam Yatra successfully.

DONATION CAMP AT ‘KASTURBAGRAM KUSHT ASHRAM’ BY ‘SAIRASS’ SAIRASS, a voluntary social organization has always been in the forefront of making efforts to serve the poor and needy by way of extending its support during peak winter season. The present venture by SAIRASS in making its presence for helping the needy organized a donation camp at Kasturba Gram Kusht Ashram, Tahirpur , Shahdara, Delhi. SAIRASS distributed Blakets, Rice, Moong Dal, Peanuts and Revdi to the inmates of Kasturbagram Kusht Ashram, Tahirpur, Shahdara on 19th Jan. 2020. Around 140 families received the items at Kusht Ashram. Dr. Satywati Bhargav and her sons donated certain items.
